Last night Inside Edition movie legend Robert Redford and his son Jamie opened up about a family medical crisis and the liver transplant that saved Jamie's life.

Redford and his son founded an event called "Share the Beat." This is the fifth year they've produced the event, which has the sole mission to educate the public about organ and tissue donation.
Held on September 13, 2008 The James Redford Institute (JRI) is partnering with the Georgia Transplant Foundation (GFT) to bring this star-studded event to Atlanta 's very own historic venue, The Tabernacle. All proceeds from the event will benefit GTF and JRI. The evening will be hosted by James Redford and Robert Redford and will feature live music and entertainment, with appearances by James Denton and Dana Delany of Desperate Housewives, singer/songwriter Deana Carter, Bo Bice, Rivers Rutherford, Greg Barnhill, Malina Moye, Aimee Mayo, Alexa Wilkinson and many more.
